The UK Spouse Visa is for married partners of British or Irish citizens, individuals settled in the UK, those with pre-settled status, holders of Turkish Businessperson or Turkish Worker visas, and people granted refugee status or humanitarian protection. This visa allows partners to join or remain with their spouse in the UK and can lead to indefinite leave to remain (settlement) after five years.
Applying for a UK Spouse Visa can be complex and time-consuming. Many applications are refused because the Home Office is not satisfied that the eligibility requirements have been met, particularly in relation to the genuine relationship or financial criteria. In many cases, refusals result from insufficient or incorrect supporting evidence, which can raise concerns and lead to an application being rejected.
A poorly prepared application can cause lengthy delays, additional costs, and continued separation from your partner if the application is refused, resulting in unnecessary stress and frustration.
Our team of experienced immigration advisers is here to support you at every stage of the process. We carefully assess your individual circumstances to confirm whether you meet the Spouse Visa requirements and advise on how to strengthen your supporting evidence to maximise your chances of success.
We also assist clients whose Spouse Visa applications have been refused. We can review the refusal decision and advise whether an appeal or a fresh application is the most appropriate next step.
In addition, we provide support with Spouse Visa extensions and applications for settlement (indefinite leave to remain) under the Spouse route.
